Is it weaving or is it an illusion? This two-tone cowl is hand knitted in the round using moss stitch and woven float technique. Stitches are knit and purl. Basic chart reading required.

The Woven Illusion Cowl is a lovely, quick project featuring a unique woven effect based on a vintage idea. Not a lot of yarn is needed so it’s a wonderful stash buster. Choose two high contrast colours. MC (Main Colour) is used to create bold lines. CC (Contrast Colour) makes the grid which can create a design all by itself. Add some fun with one hand dyed skein matched to a plain, solid colour or experiment with tweed yarns or slow graduated colour changes.

The pattern makes a dense and cuddly cowl to keep out the cold and is tall enough to cover your ears.

This pattern uses two colours.
