This is a simple pattern that results in an intricate appearance. Simple sequences of knits and purls and decreasing.
I designed this hat and have knitted several which you can see in my Etsy shop. It has been a very popular design.

Looks great in solid colors or variegated/self patterning yarns. Pattern is written for worsted or slightly bulky weight yarns, however changing the number of stitches worked in increments of 6 can allow you to use other yarn weights.

Instructions are written for knitting in the round, however instructions for knitting with straight needles is also included.
