This is a simple pattern that results in an intricate appearance. A simple sequences of knits and purls.
I designed this scarf and have knitted several which you can see in my Etsy shop. It has been a very popular design.

Looks great in solid colors or variegated/self patterning yarns. Pattern is written for worsted or slightly bulky weight yarns, however you can also use other weights of yarn and adjust needle size appropriately as suggested on yarn label, remembering dimensions of scarf will differ.
