This easy blanket pattern will be your new favorite for baby showers, toddler/kids gifts, and throws! This pattern allows you to quickly work up a squishy, basket weave texture using beginner-friendly stitches with a fun, boho twisted fringe border. This pattern includes a lot of pictures to help you along with making your blanket.

Twisted fringe gives a special and unique touch to this blanket pattern!! Kids love twisted fringe and it adds a fun boho look to any blanket. A benefit of twisted fringe is that it holds it’s shape for years and is machine-washable since it is a technique which slip stitches the fringe into the border of the blanket. This pattern includes a picture tutorial for the basket weave stitches as well as a step-by-step picture tutorial for the twisted fringe technique. Twisted fringe is not recommended for baby blankets so an easy border option is also included in this pattern.

You will need to use Bernat Baby Blanket or Blanket Yarn for this project.
Sizes included in this blanket pattern:
Throw: 52”x 60” - 9 skeins
Kids: 45” x 52”- 7 skeins
Toddler: 40” x 50”- 5 skeins
Baby: 30” x 36” - 3 skeins

Sample pictures show how you can add stripes to your blanket using two different colors of blanket yarn or a solid color. Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn Dappled (an ombre yarn) in Ever After Pink as well as Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn in Sandcastles and Vanilla (the striped blanket) were used for sample pictures in this pattern.
