Wrapped in Whimsy is a wrap for tarot or oracle cards. It includes a pocket to keep your cards secure, and a fold-out section to give you more mat space to do bigger readings.

This pattern is written for fingering weight yarn and US 4 (3.5 mm) needles. However, it can easily be adapted for larger cards by using different yarn/needles, or by using the schematic included to adjust measurements.

The wrap is knit flat, starting with a seed st border. You’ll continue knitting in stockinette & seed stitch until you fold the piece and seam the sides to create the pocket. You’ll continue knitting flat and cast on the fold-out mat section using the backward loop method.

After the mat section, you’ll cast off and begin knitting SSK, K2tog, and CDD decreases for the pointed front section before creating an i-cord to tie it all together.
