Wavy, Trendy, Fabulous! Ripple Shawl has lots of fun undulating waves inspired by my family visits to Kauai. Hate getting in the ocean but love the way it looks? Now you can wrap your body in a luxuriously looking ripple pattern that looks complicated but is super fun and simple. Variegated yarns will make this ripple pattern really shine! Calculations have been made to create a deep crescent shaped shawl. This shawl is light weight but large enough to envelope your upper body and keep you cozy warm! The simple ripple stitching of this pattern, worked with a variegated yarn, creates the illusion of complexity without the added knitting frustration!

You will need two skeins of variegated yarn. It is shown in Hanalai hand dyed for the blue-green shawl, and baah la jolla honeycomb and hedgehog fibers red minis for the golden red shawl. It would look amazing with Malabrigo sock, or any other variegated 3 ply sock yarn in fingering weight. This is a good use of those mini skein sets too!

This pattern is worked flat with a Garter Tab Cast On. Complete instructions for creating the cast on are included. Detailed Bind off instructions included as well. This pattern works best with a simple bind off due to the light airy nature of the yarn.
