Please welcome the Wychwood cocoon cardi shrug!
Forever obsessed with the idea that you can knit any garment (or pretty much any anyway) or accessory starting and ending with just a few stitches, I set out on the road to create this a-line, loosely fit, comfy and flattering cardi-shrug that can be worn with anything and all year round! Sounds like your jam? Then grab your needles and join me.

The cardi is worked on the bias, with no long cast on or bind off - smart shaping ensures proper fit. That’s right - no cast on or bind off! No fiddling with gazillion stitches! The fabric uses a simple garter ridges to highlight this new and absolutely unique seamless construction.

I have had several people ask me questions about the construction so I will do a little bullet list:

  • Seamless, completely seamless
  • Worked mostly flat but a bit in the round too.
  • No long cast on and no bind off!

Perfectly suited for solid, variegated and speckled yarns in your stash.

YARN
Any wool or wool/silk fingering weight yarns that drape well will be well suited for this pattern. I recommend superwash single ply yarns as they tend to drape better than non superwash or plied yarns.
