This tiny sweater is knit flat from the bottom up and then seamed at the shoulders. The arms pick up stitches from the body and are knit flat down towards the cuff. The Christmas tree design is done with intarsia.

To make an ornament, you can twist some wire into the shape of a little clothes hanger and just cut where needed. A pipe cleaner would also work for the hanger! To create a garland, knit a few of these tiny sweaters and string them together with a tapestry needle, running yarn through the sleeves.

I’m new to pattern writing, so if you have any questions or comments, please let me know! I would be happy to hear your feedback!
