Xuemei (雪梅) is my mother’s first name. I created this sweater as a gift for her, marking my first independent sweater design. Originally published on October 16, 2024 in a single size, I’ve now expanded it to include 10 sizes after spending the past year developing my grading skills and building a small design portfolio. I’m offering this pattern for free to honour my mother’s name. I welcome your feedback and improvement suggestions!

The sweater is knitted seamlessly top down, with optional German Short Rows (beginning can easily skip) and side splits to elongate the back piece.

10 sizes are offered with the corresponding chest circumference after blocking (soaking in lukewarm water and flat drying):
