Filthy Animal is worked in the normal overlay mosaic row-by-row technique.

This wall hanging is free to download as a wee Christmas present to all my lovely customers. I’ve always loved adding a little holiday humour to my décor, and this quote from one of my all-time favourite Christmas films never fails to make me smile. So of course, I had to turn it into a festive crochet wall-hanging! (or cushion cover)

If you’re downloading this pattern, I’m guessing you know exactly which movie this line comes from.

The pattern PDF has two easy-to-read charts and corresponding written instructions for both left and right-handers.

Two PDFs are available - one using US terms and one using UK terms.

If using DK weight yarn, you will need approximately:

  • Colour A – 225 metres / 246 yards
  • Colour B – 205 metres / 225 yards

    yards

For this example, I used Yarnsmiths Create DK in Claret Red and Pale Silver https://www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/yarn/yarnsmiths-create-dk-all-colours

Tools:

  • 4mm hook (for the main body)
  • 3mm hook (for the double border)
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers

Size:
The size (without the border) will be approx. 50cm x 50cm

Gauge:
• 18 stitches and 18 rows for a 10x10cm tension square using a 4mm hook.
