Yacana Jacket prende nome da una delle più importanti costellazioni che sorge nel mese di novembre sopra Cuzco, antico centro degli Incas chiamata Yacana o “del Lama”. Secondo la tradizione andina, questo lama gigantesco una volta l’anno scende sulla terra e passeggia sulle alte cime della Cordigliera, mentre gli uomini attendono che si addormenti per poter prelevare la sua lana molto pregiata per la sua sericità e finezza. Si credeva infatti, che possedere un po’ di lana del “Lama del cielo” fosse di buon auspicio e portasse fortuna per il resto dei giorni.
Yacana Jacket è realizzata con il filato pregiatissimo di Lama 100%. ha una costruzione top down, il corpo è stato lavorato in piano con comode maniche raglan. Dopo aver diviso il corpo dalle maniche, si esegue un semplice motivo jacquard su tutta la larghezza seguito poi da un motivo d’intrecci di grande effetto su tutta la lunghezza della giacca. I bordi sono stati lavorati con due diverse tonalità di filato che crea una leggera e piacevole sfumatura.

Yacana Jacket takes its name from one of the most important constellations that rises in November above Cuzco, an ancient center of the Incas called Yacana or “of the Lama”. According to the Andean tradition, this gigantic lama descends to earth once a year and walks on the high peaks of the Cordillera, while men wait for him to fall asleep to be able to gather his precious wool for its silkiness and finesse. In fact, it was believed that having wool from the “Lama of the sky” was a good omen and would bring good luck for the rest of the days.
The Yacana jacket is made with the best 100% Lama yarn. has a top down construction, the body is worked flat with comfortable raglan sleeves. After dividing the body from the sleeves, a jacquard pattern is created across the entire width followed by an impressive weave along the entire length of the jacket. The edges have been worked with two different shades of yarn that create a light and pleasant shade.
