Yachats (YAW-hots) is a small city that’s also called “The Gem of the Oregon Coast” for its incredible scenery. Yachats means “at the foot of a mountain” which it is.
Back to knitting: I used an aqua crochet thread for Yachat’s ocean waves and the netting represents its fishing industry. There are only 2 pattern rows with a multiple of 7 stitches + 1 selvage stitch.
Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, YO, k2tog, SSK and bind off.
Gauge is not important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.
60 yards of Aunt Lydia’s Classic 10 thread will make 10 inches of a 29-stitch-wide strip at gauge.
