Designed for my boyfriend’s grandmother for Mother’s Day 2011.
-
This shawl is a top-down raglan construction with an edging that is knitted on instead of binding off at the bottom.
-
Pattern includes both charts and written directions for the lace insert and the lace edging.
-
I used 4 full skeins and less than 1/4 of the 5th skein of Cascade 220 for this shawl, but you can make it as large or as small as you want by changing where you start and stop the diamond pattern.
-
Any smooth yarn will work for this shawl; different yarn weights will yield different sizes of shawl.
