Yarn Quest 2017 - An Errant Errand Sidequest by Tania Richter

Yarn Quest 2017 - An Errant Errand Sidequest

This pattern is available from payhip.com for $7.00.

An Errant Errand is part of the Yarn Quest 2017 - The Grand Quest Compilation, an ongoing year-long serialized MKAL release.

You’ve discovered an NPC with an exclamation point over their head. That means it’s time for a sidequest! This quest will play out in a 6 week campaign following your character’s adventures through the land of Yarnia. During the first two weeks we’ll be knitting a hat, and in weeks 3-6 we’ll be knitting a set of fingerless mitts. In addition to this document outlining the basics of the MKAL you fill find Character Sheets for both you and a Feline Companion, instructions for filling in your sheets, and the basic cast on instructions.

SPECIAL NOTE
If you have already rolled a character and Feline Companion, you may use those or roll a new character. This pattern functions as a stand alone story and as part of the Yarn Quest continuum, so it’s great for old hands and newcomers alike!

What is a Knitting RPG (KRPG)?
A Knitting Role Playing Game!
The way this works is that I shall act as the Dungeon Master (Game Master) for a custom game of Yarn Quest – An Errant Errand. Starting March 24th I will release instructions for determining what charts to knit on your hat and mitts. These charts will be randomized by each person using a set of stats. There are several dozen charts, so everyone’s scarf will be unique!
General Chat thread can be found here

Special Equipment
If you don’t have a set already, I highly recommend getting a set of 7 D20 gaming dice (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20). They can be found at your local game store (Games by James, etc) or through Amazon - Make sure you pick a set like this one~ (with the 7 different dice, pick whatever colors you like best!).
If you don’t want to pick up a set of dice, sites like Random.org or random number generators will also work. There’s probably an app out there for dice rolls, because there’s usually apps for everything.

Final Info
This is an intermediate level project, previous experience with chart reading is recommended.
