In this openwork shawl I was trying to weave in branches growing up to the sky, leaves moving in the wind, and roots reaching deep in the ground. The beauty of trees was my inspiration for the Yavanna shawl. Decorative and airy will be a great accessory to feminine outfits during summer days.

You can make one of two versions of the shawl and your trees can grow as high as you wish - the pattern in a diagram form contains repetitive motive and comes with three options for the shawl ending. Even though you will find interesting stitches there, you don’t need a lot of yarn for it - even from 1000m, you can create a ready-to-wear shawl!

So, take your crochet hook and get ready to plant some trees!

The primary version of the shawl (white, green, and grey colored) was made with a 4mm crochet hook using YarnArt Flowers 274 yarn, 1000m.
Dimensions of the shawl: 180cm x 85cm.

The simplified version of the shawl (pink, blue, and purple colored) was made with a 4mm crochet hook using Kokonki Classic B114 yarn, 1400m.
Dimensions of the shawl: 220cm x 97 cm.
