Yes Captain is a bottom-up jumper worked in the round with armhole construction flat-knit and sleeves worked in the round. It is knit in one main piece, and then the arm holes are created by separating the front and back onto either different needles or scrap pieces of yarn to hold the stitches. The shoulders are sewn together using the three-needle bind-off method. The sleeves are worked in the round by picking up stitches along the armhole. The final step in the cardigan is the collar. The necktie is created separately and then attached while picking up collar stitches. It begins with a double-layer stockinette hem on the bottom and then is moved onto larger needles. This pattern is written from left to right.

Skill Level: Beginner

Yarn: 1 strand of any light brushed yarn.

For this pattern I have used 6 (8, 9) balls of Take Care Mohair by Wool and The Gang in the color Midnight Blue. I also used scrap white wool from a previous project - If you don’t have any white yarn lying around Wool and The Gang Feeling Good yarn would be a good option.

Some yarn alternatives that would work just as well are

5 (7, 8) balls of Skappel Suri 60% Lambswool and 40% Cotton
or
10 (14, 15) DROPS kid-silk 75% Mohair, 25% Silk - I recommend holding two strands of this
yarn.

Tension after blocking:
10cm/4” x 10cm/4” = 11 stitches x 15 rows
