One of the most satisfying knits I’ve worked on in a long time, the Ymer Sweater fits perfectly, knits up in no time, and looks just right on any occasion and outfit.
The neckline frames the face beautifully and sits comfortably across the shoulders and back. The length is easily adjustable, as is the yarn choice: a versatile DK weight that can be knit in a beautiful wool, like the original sample (Peer Gynt by Sandnes Garn), or in a cotton–wool blend for warmer climates (Duo by Sandnes Garn).

SIZES
1 (2, 3, 4, 5)(6, 7, 8, 9)
Finished bust circumference: 96 (102, 109, 116, 128)(136, 140, 148, 154) cm
Intended to be worn with at least 5-10 cm of positive ease at the bust.

YARN
12 (13, 13, 14, 14)(15, 16, 17, 18) skeins of Peer Gynt (100% Norwegian Wool) by Sandnes Garn 91 m /50 gr.
OR 1080 (1125, 1175, 1220,1260)( 1350, 1430, 1530, 1620) m of DK-weight yarn.
The sample is knit in size 1, in colorway 2720 Marzipan Tutti Frutti Tweed.

GAUGE
20 sts x 30 rounds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in the round, in stockinette stitch, on larger needle, after blocking.
needles
— 4 mm circular needle for the body and sleeves (or needle size to obtain gauge).
— 3.5 mm circular needle for the hem and cuff ribbing. (or 0,5 mm less than gauge-size needle)
— 3.25 mm for the collar ribbing (or 0,75 mm less than gauge-size needle).
The cable should be at least 80 cm long. Also, you can use DPNs or shorter cables for working the collar and sleeves. I used a 40 cm cable for the collar and 30 cm cables for the sleeves.

NOTIONS
Blocking tools, darning needle, scissors and tape measure. A row counter might come in handy.
