The Yntersection Vest is meant to be a comfortable garment, with a simple elegance that makes it perfect to be worn over a shirt for a semi-casual look. The small cables add a sophisticated touch to this otherwise simple vest.

The Yntersection Vest is worked seamlessly from the bottom up. The body is worked in the round from the hem to the armholes, then split into two pieces to work the front and back separately to the shoulders. The front gets divided at the middle to make a V neck framed by cables, that looks like in Y-intersection. The shoulders have short row shaping for a tailored look and are joined with a three-needle bind off. The collar and armband ribbings are picked up and worked in 1x1 rib in the round afterwards.

Cable instructions are both charted and written. Links to video tutorials to learn to do the cables in this vest, with or without a cable needle, are included in the pattern.

Choose your size based on your bust circumference.
Choose a size with 0 to 5 inches of positive ease for a loose fit. If you want your vest to be snug around the chest choose 0 to 2 inches of negative ease.
Shown in size S with 0 cm / 0 inches of ease at the bust.

Directions are for the smallest size, with larger sizes in parenthesis.

Yardage: 356(414, 475, 552, 605, 690)(745, 816, 892, 950) m / 390(455, 520, 605, 662, 752)(814, 892, 976, 1040) yards.

Gauge: 10 cm/4 inches = 19 sts and 29 rows/rounds in stockinette stitch with the bigger needles (both flat and in the round) after blocking.

Works with both sport and DK yarn weights, be sure to swatch and check your stitch gauge to ensure a proper fit (row/round gauge is not that important).

The pattern gives measurements for a slightly cropped vest but the length of the vest, as well as the size of the armholes, can be easily customized.

Adjust yardage as needed if modifying the pattern.
