Do you love yoga as much as I do? I sure hope so! Yoga is amazing for your posture, releasing tension, core strength, and so much more. And if you crochet, you can now make yourself a durable Yoga Mat Bag that will last through each practice!

I chose the Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn for this project because it is a sturdy yarn. I went down several hook sizes from what is suggested on the yarn label because the yarn does stretch.

Fits yoga mats measuring approximately 24” W x 68”L x 0.25” thick. The bag will be tight around your mat the first time or two of using. The strap will also stretch, so it isn’t that long at first. You can always replace the strap with another material/fabric and sew on.

The pattern is worked from the bottom up. It cinches together at the top to keep the mat in place.

I hope you enjoy this pattern! Namaste
