Yoonsi is a funnel shaped cowl with bands of garter stitch and colorwork made from either fingering or sport weight yarns.

Yoonsi includes 3 motif options.
Charts A and B (copper/navy or grey/pink samples) require:
225yds/205m of motif color (navy and grey)
230yds/210m of background color (white)
300yds/275m of garter band color (copper, pink)

Chart C (teal/chartreuse/pink sample) requires:
180yds/165m of motif color (teal)
250yds/230m of background color (chartreuse)
300yds/275m of garter band color (pink)

Please note the yardage is generous to be on the safe side. I finished both charts A and B using a single 202yd ball of Vanna’s Glamour for the motif color, but just barely.

Charts A and B are great for those new to colorwork knitting.

Yoonsi funnels down smaller as you knit so after the final round of decreases it will fly off the needles.

A note about blocking:
Do not stretch apart the garter bands. They are like the bends in a bendy straw and should collapse together when laying flat.

Coloring Page:
I have included a coordinating coloring page with the pattern. It was something I always wanted to try. If relaxing coloring is your thing, I hope you have fun with it. It is free for everyone for the first week through a link on my blog.
