Richmond Felicity Avenal was a high-flying young executive at Reynholm Industries, rising through the ranks until he was second only to owner Denholm Reynholm, but then he discovered the band Cradle of Filth and slowly adopted a Goth lifestyle. While his work was objectively as good as ever, his appearance became a liability with clients and coworkers alike. Denholm demoted Richmond to the IT department, where Richmond worked in the dimly lit server room monitoring the flashing displays on machines he did not understand. Occasionally Richmond would come out of the server room and disturb his IT coworkers with oddly unsettling pronouncements.

You Know What A Crow Sounds Like is a pair of lacy fingerless mittens with a motif resembling crow feathers. Long in the cuff and covering most of the thumb, these are an excellent choice for keeping the wearer’s hands warm when working in a chilly environment like a basement server room.

Materials Needed:
Yarn recommended is a mid-range fingering weight yarn with a high twist, and a put up of 395/400yards per 100 grams.
- @166 yards fingering weight yarn
- 3mm (US 2 1/2) circular needle or dpns suitable for small circumference knitting or size needed to make gauge
- flexible stitch holder

Gauge: 26 stitches by 34 rows over 4”/10cm in lace motif worked in the round, slightly stretched

Size Information:
one size - fits hand circumference of 7.5” to 8.5” measured between the thumb and first finger joint
Because the number of stitches per repeat is proportionately large compared to the total stitch count, this pattern comes in only one size; there is simply no easy way to increase or decrease the number of stitches needed. Size may be adjusted somewhat by working with heavier yarn or at a tighter or looser gauge.
