errata: cast on 63 sts. not 163. (as of 2/23/16 Pattern is updated and link will take you to the corrected pattern. There is also a little visual chart for the first row of pattern. You will notice it is not 63 its wide, it doesn’t account for the increases in the chart)

This pattern is a simple chevron stripe scarf. It can be done without the striping simply by leaving out the change in color allowing just a subtle texture change as the stitches change directions for a quite subtle elegance. Or, for a bright addition to your look, use multiple colors for a more vibrant flash of color.

I used two skeins of Madeline Tosh Sock yarn in Flashdance and Lepidoptera to get the affect of color in this scarf. I ended it at 6 foot in length, but still had enough yarn that I could have continued on so be aware that you can make a longer scarf if you so desire.

When creating this document I was unable to insert a couple videos that I had made to assist in seeing how and why I slip my last stitch of every row, and how to carry your yarn up the side of the work. Please use these links to view if you feel you need the instruction. Be aware that should you decide to go with more colors, I do not advise the technique to carry your yarn up the side, but rather suggest that you weave in your ends separately.

Hope You Enjoy!
