“Your Favorite Brew” has been a design idea of mine for quite some time. I am a craft beer lover and wanted to design a shawl in honor of … BEER! I incorporated a unique “hops” stitch pattern as well as “bubbles and foam” with “sip” breaks in between. What is unique about this shawl is that it doesn’t only apply to beer. It can be your favorite coffee or tea brew too! The “hops” all of a sudden look like coffee beans or tea leaves instead! This is a fun shawl to knit while sipping on… your favorite brew.

Designer Notes:

  1. This is a crescent-shaped shawl knit top-down starting with a garter tab.
  2. For a stretchy top and edge, this pattern is written to go up 3 needle sizes for the cast-on and bind-off.
  3. This design may be knit smaller or larger if desired; in that case more or less yarn may be required.
  4. Three colorways were used to knit this pattern and are identified as Color A (Natural), Color B (Strong and Brewtiful), and Color C (I Have A Crush On Jon Snow).
  5. Instructions have been written out as well as charted for the knitter’s preference.
  6. The stitch count will increase by 4 sts in every RS row and by 2 sts in every WS row.
