Ysabell’s Spring Blanket is a larger companion piece to Ysabell’s Washcloth. Both were inspired by Lady Ysabell Death-Sto Helit, a character in Terry Pratchett’s DiscWorld series.

Lady Ysabell grows up in the land of her adopted father, Death, seeing only black and white, plus the pink items she alone uses. Once back in the living world she leads a full life by getting married, having a daughter, and ruling a duchy full of cabbage fields. This blanket reflects the glorious greens of spring after a long winter.

Gauge
3 sections (12 foundation stitches) in 4 inches
6.5 rows in 4 inches

The stitch is a 4 stitch repeat. The size of the blanket can be adjusted by changing the number of foundation stitches. If you would like to make a baby blanket, please consider decreasing the number of stitches and using a sport or DK yarn. Your gauge can be tested on the washcloth version.
