ENGLISH

The perfect booties for the most unruly feet who want to take them off as quickly as possible. They have no seams on the sole, as the sole is knitted first and then the stitches are picked up to create the rest of the bootie (toe and shaft). The loop with the i-cord ensures they’re not so easy to take off, while also adding a special touch beyond the garter stitch.

They’re a quick and easy project for the little ones in the house or to add that special touch to a baby.

Sizes available: 0-3 / 3-6 / 6-9 / 9-12 mo

YARN
1 skein of Baby Cotton from DMC (50g/ 106m / 115yds) Composition: 100% cotton and DK weight yarn.

GAUGE:

• Stitch pattern: garter stitch knitted flat.
• Gauge (10cm / 4”) after blocking: 21.5 stitches and 43 rows (3.5 mm / US 4 knitting needles)

KNITTING NEEDLES:

• Circular 3.5mm / US 4 knitting needles (circular works best for the beginning of the project if you don’t want to use double pointed needles).

• Cable that is long enough to make fake “magic loop” (since we are knitting flat) in order to knit more comfortably certain parts of the pattern. Explained in Abbreviations and terms section.

• OPTIONAL: 3.5mm / US 4 double pointed needles (for the beginning of the project)

OTHER MATERIALS

Tapestry needle.

ESPAÑOL

Los patucos perfectos para los pies más rebeldes que quieren quitarse los patucos a la mínima posible. No tienen ninguna costura en la planta, ya que se teje primero la suela y luego se recogen los puntos para crear el resto del patuco en abierto (puntera y caña). El pasacintas con el cordón i-cord te asegura que no es tan fácil quitárselos además de darle un toque especial más allá del punto bobo.

Son un proyecto fácil y rápido para los más pequeños de la casa o tener ese detalle especial con un bebé.

AGUJAS

• Agujas circulares de 3.5 mm / US 4.
• Cable lo suficientemente largo para hacer un falso magic loop (ya que tejeremos en abierto) y tejer más cómodamente cuando lo necesites al tejer después de recoger puntos (técnica explicada en la sección de abreviaturas y términos).
• OPCIONAL: agujas de doble punta de 3.5mm (para después de recoger puntos si no quieres usar las agujas circulares).
