Yule Sigil is an overlay mosaic crochet blanket pattern inspired by winter solstice traditions, evergreen forests, returning light, and the quiet magic of the darkest season.

This intermediate pattern creates a large winter sigil centered around a deer standing in front of a tree, surrounded by meaningful seasonal symbols. Ferns represent resilience through the coldest months, candles bring warmth and the return of light, the pinecone carries the promise of new life and renewal through winter, and the sun marks the gradual return of brighter days after the winter solstice. Snowflakes fill each corner, while a Yule log rests beneath the deer to bring the design together.

The pattern includes separate left- and right-handed PDFs. Each PDF contains written instructions, an easy-to-read chart marked in 10-row sections for easier counting, overlay mosaic crochet basics, and instructions for reading both the chart and written pattern. US crochet terminology is used throughout.
