This is yummy cowl is designed to be a quick and simple project that can be made by total beginners and upwards.
The unique construction leads to diagonal sections and matching diagonal buttons with fluted edges which create beautiful deign features.

Knitting skills required:

Beginner cowl: Knitted cast on, bind off and knit, it really is as simple as that! Shown in semi solid purple.
Cowl with alternating lace panels: You can make the version with the alternating lace pattern sections if you can knit two stitches together and yarn over as well.

This is designed to be a single skein project in aran (worsted) or double knitting weight yarn but you can make it in any weight yarn and adjust it to be as big or as small as you like! Clear instructions on how to achieve this are given. There are no purl stitches (Yay!) and it’s a perfect project to show off indie dyed semi-solid, variegated and self striping yarns alike.

Full instructions for two sizes are given and require a single skein.

Long thin: beginners cowl: shown in semi- solid purple in Double knitting weight yarn

Long thin: with alternating lace panels: shown in the colour cinnamon in Aran (worsted) weight yarn
