This cute and fun one-piece rabbit hood is designed to keep out cold and blustery winds. It is an easy, quick knit perfect for a weekend project and for gift giving. A combination of seed stitch and stockinette creates a textural fabric with beautiful stitch definition on super bulky yarn.

Zaïka means “little rabbit” in Russian

The brim is knit sideways and then stitches are picked up along one side and knit up to create the body of the hood, shaping back panel as you go. Collar is worked first in the round then back and forth by picking up stitches onto the neck edge. Life stitches at the top are returned to the
needle to work ears after the rest of the hood is complete.

Finished Measurements:
Hood Width = 9¼-9¾-9¾-10-10½ ” (23.5-24.5-24.5-25.5-26.5 cm) folded at widest point
Hood Height = 77/8-8½-9-95/8-10¼ ” (20-21.5-23-24.5-26 cm) from top to collar band
