Zappy
Zappy is a tiny scarf with a fun intarsia lightning bolt pattern. The scarf is worked in garter stitch with i-cord edges and intarsia. The colours are reversed at the centre of the scarf. As this is a quick knit, it’s the perfect little project to learn intarsia.
Size
Small
Wingspan: 52‘’ / 130 cm, width at centre: 9.25’’ / 23 cm.
Yarn
Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (100% SW merino, single-ply, 366 m / 100 g) and La Bien Aimée Merino Singles (100% SW merino, single-ply, 366 m / 100 g), or other fingering weight yarn. Shown in colours Grasshopper (MC) and Ballet (CC).
1 skein each. As the shawl is worked with intarsia, you will need a separate yarn for each colour section. I recommend winding your yarn into balls as follows: 25 g (MC1), 10 g (MC2), 5 g (MC3), 23 g (CC1), 11 g (CC2), and 6 g (CC3).
