Zara’s Crochet Blanket Pattern is a perfect easy pattern for a beginner crocheter. The pattern uses only the basic crochet stitches which produces a beautiful blanket.
Instructions are given for making the blanket in various sizes, as well as instructions how to adapt the pattern so you create a striped effect blanket.

This pattern has been written using US Crochet terms and is designed with a confident beginner in mind.

If you can count stitches, and make a DC (double crochet) and a SC (single crochet) stitch you should have no problems with the pattern.

The blanket can be made using any yarn and in any size you wish as long as you use the correct hook size to compliment the yarn that you are using. Details are given in the pattern of how to adapt the size of the blanket.

The blanket pictured was made using Paintbox Aran (acrylic) in Blush Pink and measured 31.5 inches by 34 inches.

What you’ll need:

• Aran weight yarn (the amount will be dependent on the size of blanket that you’re making - I used approx 400 grams of Paintbox Aran in Acrylic to make the blanket pictured.

• Size H hook/5.0 mm

• Embroidery Scissors

• Darning Needle for weaving in your ends
