Melbourne’s the city of 4 seasons in one day, and you’d better be prepared!

ZAVALA is a beanie for the autumn and winter in all cold climates, and it knits up quick with a simple textured pattern. Perfect for your first beanie project or for seasoned knitters alike.

ZAVALA is knit in the round from the bottom up and uses basic stitches; knit, purl, and knit 2 stitches together decreases.

The texture created by this pattern looks best in solid colours with lightweight yarns with the majority of the fibre containing wool or something that gives the same effect. Our sample was knit in Lincraft Coaster, Aran weight, 70% wool, 30% Alpaca (2x 50g balls)

Get creative by knitting it up with contrast brim and body
