These Zebra Mittens are made with Alpaca Merino yarn making them super soft and their stranded colourwork construction makes them super warm!

They will fit hand up to 8cm (3.2”) wide and 18cm (7.1”) long (from lower hand to tip of middle finger).

It is easy to increase or decrease the length of the mitten cuff and mitten body; simply work more or less rounds. If you decide to make the cuff or the mitten body more than 2 rounds longer for each mitten you will need more than 2 x 25g balls of yarn.

The gauge used here states 28sts to 30 rows but that is over the stranded zebra pattern. If you would like to use another yarn choose a yarn with a 22 sts to 30 rows gauge on the ball band.

You need 2 x 25g balls of Rowan Alpaca Merino in total: one in shade Saxon (101) and one in shade Stamford (111).

You also need 1 x 4.5mm (US 7) circular needle, 30-40cm (12-16”) in length OR one set of double pointed needles size 4.5mm (US 7).
