The Zelda Cloche is a surprisingly easy knit that features reverse-stockinette textures and contrasting horizontal stripes. A button and loop on one side gathers the ribs elegantly to give the hat a vintage, asymmetrical look.

The pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up with a section of horizontal stripes at the brim, then progressive decreases create the hat’s crown. The button loop is knitted separately, created from a knitted i-cord that is attached during finishing. The button is attached to the outside and the loop reaches around from the inside to gather the stripes attractively.
