Zeppa is half-circle shawl, worked from the center out. The shawl starts with a stockinette stitch center and the wedges are worked in garter based stitch pattern which makes the contrast colored yarn pop, creating an interesting texture. The wedges are shaped using short rows. The shawl is worked one wedge at a time, hence its name, Zeppa, the Italian word for wedge.

The sample is shown using a main color and two contrast colors. You can play around with as few or as many colors as you like. This can also be a great stash buster as the smaller wedges take very little yarn. You can be adventurous and use more than one color in a single wedge.

Colorways used in the sample:
Battleship (Grey)
Fair (Orange)
Lychee (Green)
