Inspired by the stitch pattern in our popular Tazetta blanket, the Zetta Scarf kicks things up a notch with bright rainbow colour in an easy, wear-all-year accessory. Simple lace, knit on the bias, pairs perfectly with bold hues, promising a fun knit for everyone.

This scarf is worked in one piece on the bias, meaning that it begins in one corner, gradually increasing to the desired width, working even until the scarf reaches the desired length on the longest side, and then decreasing into the opposite corner.

After the Increase pattern, the center colour blocks are set up to work 8 repeats (64 rows) of the 8-row lace pattern, ensuring blocks of equal length. You may wish to work the pattern until the colour runs out, joining the new colour mid-row by knitting-in or splicing your ends. To do this, simply repeat the Diagonal pattern as desired, working until colour runs out and continuing in pattern with the next colour. On the very last colour you will want to work only 6 repeats of the 8-row lace pattern (48 rows) to ensure enough yarn to complete the Decrease pattern.

You can easily work this scarf in one colour by ignoring the colour change notes.

The stitch patterns are both written (see Stitch Instructions) and charted (page 4-5) for your preference.
