This lighter weight baby blanket combines alternating horizontal panels of right slant diagonal rib and left slant diagonal rib.

Finished measurement is approximately 24” wide x 32” long, after blocking.

Recommended yarn: 3 skeins of Berroco Vintage DK, or any equivalent DK weight yarn.
Recommended needles: size 6 (circular needles, 24” or longer, to comfortably accommodate the width of the blanket).

Recommended gauge is 5.5 sts = 1” in stockinette stitch.
Although the blanket is knit in textured stitches, gauge is knit in stockinette stitch, for ease in determining appropriate sized needles.
Change needle size as necessary, to achieve correct gauge and/or a fabric that you like. Since this is a blanket, exact gauge is not critical. It will, however, affect the finished size and amount of yarn used.

Instructions are clearly written, and required skills include casting on, knitting, purling and binding off.

Enjoy knitting this pattern, and please post photos of your finished blankets!
