I designed these patterns for the Erika Knight yarn collection in 2012. Erika liked my Zig Zag hat and asked me if I would like to design a matching cowl and mittens to help promote the yarn. The pattern was first released in print in the US, UK and Europe.
The yarn is super smooshy and warm and lends itself well to the Zigzag pattern.
This 2022 update of the pattern also includes instructions to knit the mittens flat and seam them up at the end,
