Please note that the download for this also includes the green ubordered version.

Pattern can be worked from charts or full written directions. Please note that ‘full written directions’ is just that. Instructions for the shawl and the border are written out line by line. If you prefer to not use a chart you will be able to make my patterns from the written out instructions.

This is a straightforward project that suit a beginning lace knitter with a 12 row, 10 stitch repeat. The knitted on border is another simple 12 row repeat. The repeat is easy to ‘read’ and keep track of which row you are up to. All wrong side rows are purled.

The pattern includes the calculation for you to make the item narrower or wider.

The border is specially designed to match the main piece.

Please also note that this item took almost a full 200g cone of Bendigo Woollen mills 2ply. The border takes about 25% of the yarn so be sure to stop knitting the main piece in time to leave enough yarn for the border!

This wrap/shawl/scarf can be knitted as a simple shape with no border (green version) or a bordered added (beige version). The main pieces are just slightly different for the bordered or non bordered.

The pattern is charted and written.
Make it as wide or long as you like, in any yarn on any needles. Its simple and tasteful and goes with anything!
