Zig Zag Wings is a slightly slouchy beanie knit from the bottom up.
Choose the 2-color or 3-color version, each featuring its own simple fair-isle pattern.

One size: to fit 54-56 cm / 21-22” circumference.
Length from brim to top - about 22 cm / 8.75”.

Yarn
Little Wings: MC - 142m / 155y; CC - 64m / 70y of Malabrigo Rastita: 100% Merino, 310 yards / 100 grams. Shown in colors: 43 Plomo (MC) and 33 Cereza (CC).
Zig Zag: MC - 73m / 80y; CC1 - 55m / 60y; CC2 - 73m / 80y of Malabrigo Silky Merino: 51% Silk,49% Merino, 150 yards / 50 grams. Shown in colors: 76 Manzanilla Olive (MC), 63 Natural (CC1) and 426 Plum Blossom (CC2).

Needles
3.75 mm/US #5 or appropriate size to get gauge; circulars (at least 60 cm/24”) and dpns.
4.0 mm/US #6 or one size larger than gauge needles; circulars (at least 60 cm/24”) and dpns.
3.25 mm/US #3 or two sizes smaller than gauge needles; circulars (at least 60 cm/24”) or dpns.

stitch marker, tapestry needle for weaving, pompom maker (optional).

Gauge
23 sts and 28 rows in 10 cm / 4” in St st worked in the round with needle 3.75 mm / US #5. Take time to save time and check your gauge. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
