This a quick, easy to memorize scarf pattern written for thicker yarn: DK and heavier. You have the option to add a keyhole or not. The choice is yours and the pattern provides instructions for both options. Of course you can use any type of yarn and adjust the amount of stitches cast on. If you’re using thinner yarn and you’d like to make it wider, you can add multiples of 9 to the cast on amount and just increase the number of instruction repeats.

Materials Needed

  • DK weight yarn or heavier. The scarf pictured used 247 yards of worsted weight yarn: Fibranatura Aspen
  • US #8 (5.0mm) needles (what I used for the worsted weight yarn) or needle size that corresponds to your choice of yarn
  • Stitch markers (optional)
  • Tapestry needle
