This wrap/scarf was designed for 24 x 10g mini skeins of sock (fingering) but you can substitute any yarns.

I LOVE miniskeins, but so many people have trouble deciding what to do with them. This pattern looks great with miniskeins alternating variegated and solids. It can also be knit in regular size skeins/balls.

One idea for the pattern is to use a variegated yarn to best effect for the stocking/stockinette stitch stripes, and balance it with a solid for the garter stripes. This gives an alternating bumpy/smooth textured feel, and the stockinette sections show off speckled or variegated yarns far better than garter stitch does.

This is a very simple pattern that somehow manages to look quite impressive if you choose good colours combos! It’s suitable for beginners and inexperienced knitters, as well as making good TV knitting for the more expert.

It was designed for an advent box of yarn, 24 miniskeins of 10g each, but any old scraps 5g+ will work well.

The choice of yarn will of course affect the size.
The purple/silver/blue wrap pictured used 240g of sock/4ply yarn, in 24 x 10g miniskeins and measures after blocking 22 inches by 64 inches.

The white and neon scarf used 100g of solid sock/4 ply and 5 x 50g skeins of sock, split into 5g balls/sections. You could use 10g or 20g miniskeins, or just 2 colours in any size stripes you prefer.

You can also use laceweight, DK, or even aran/worsted, you just need to adjust your stitchcount accordingly to make the size you want…

Short of minis/scraps? I sell Mystery Yarn Balls which are ideal for this. You can find them here: https://goo.gl/forms/fGq16S7sHNSf33gT2
