Ziggity Pop! Is a fun way to use up those precious handspun samples, leftovers from other projects and other bits of yarn that you just can’t part with but don’t have enough of for a full project.

The cowl begins with a simple Garter Stitch section until the first color change, then the fun really begins. The Ziggs Stitch Pattern changes direction with each new yarn addition so you’ll have a different look to your cowl each time you make it. (This also keeps the patterning fresh and exciting!) It finishes with another band of Garter Stitch before the bind off.

Feel free to use the lengths of yarn you have on-hand, but just in case you want an exact copy, the sample pictured uses 11 mini-skeins:

  • Color 1=17 yds/15.5 m
  • Color 2=42 yds/38.5 m
  • Color 3=25 yds/23 m
  • Color 4=33.5 yds/30.5 m
  • Color 5=27 yds/24.5 m
  • Color 6=50 yds/46 m
  • Color 7=27 yds/24.5 m
  • Color 8=33.5 yds/30.5 m
  • Color 9=23.5 yds/21.5 m
  • Color 10=43.5 yds/40 m
  • Color 11=23.5 yds/21.5 m

Instructions are included for a more traditional, weaving-in-all-the-ends striping method as well as a more random, Magic Ball method.
