I found a book at the library called, “Interlocking Crochet” by Tanis Galik. I was fascinated by the technique and I think the whole world should be exposed to it. When my Google search resulted in hardly any info available about the technique, I decided to create a simple pattern to expose the world to the technique and stitches used.

This dishcloth / hot pad works up very quickly and creates a reversible fabric. You will work with two colors using only chain sts and double-crochets. The method of crocheting into the front or into the back of the dc interlocks the two mesh sheets together. If you need help learning the abbreviations, check out this blog post.

I hope you’ll give this method a try! And, if you love it as much as I do, check your local library to see if they have the book, “Interlocking Crochet” by Tanis Galik and give other stitches a try. There are a few projects in the back of the book, too.
