Circumferences at foot and leg
These socks are stretchy and forgiving. Circumferences for a sock worked on size 2.25 mm needles follow below. For 2.5 mm needle, work the next smaller size. (Size large on 2.25 mm needle = size medium on 2.5 mm).

  • Small: foot, 7.25 inches/18 cm / leg, 7.75 inches/20 cm
  • Medium: foot, 8 inches /20 cm / leg, 8.5 inches /22 cm
  • Large: foot, 8.75 inches /22 cm / leg, 9.25 inches /24 cm

Gauge: Choose the gauge that’s best for your yarn
2.25 mm, stockinette: 18 sts/24 rows = 2 inches/5 cm.
2.5 mm, stockinette: 16 sts/20 rows = 2 inches/5 cm.

Techniques used
You should be familiar with working in the round on small needles, making increases and decreases, working short rows, and slipping stitches. Experience with basic sock construction is recommended.
