Yes, this pattern is just that… a Zipper Pouch that can be turned in to a purse! And it’s just perfect!

The Zipper Pouch Purse is made with Bernat Maker Home Dec Yarn, which is a bulky weight. This yarn with it’s cotton and nylon blend is durable and perfect for a purse.

I use this purse as a small crossbody to hold my phone, lip gloss, and keys when I don’t want to carry a full purse. It is very light and measures 8.5”W x 5.5”H. Perfect for an iPhone Plus and all of your small accessories.

It uses the waistcoat stitch, also called the knit stitch. It is made by crocheting in to the V of the single crochet stitch instead of the top loops. It is tight and has very little give or stretch. It will hold up well with use and won’t let items fall through the stitches.

Other items needed are a 9” zipper, 2 metal D-rings, and a purse strap. You can also make it as a wrist with using 1 D-ring and a wristlet strap. Or just keep it as a zipper pouch and store crochet hooks or whatever else in them!
