This is the third shawl in the Women of Sci-Fi Collection

A one skein asymmetrical shawl inspired by Zoe from the TV show Firefly.

Zoe is the no nonsense first mate aboard the Serenity. She is fiercely loyal, the moral compass for Mal, and she has the ability to deliver deadpan one liners like no other. Zoe is a soldier, but also a loving wife to Wash and isn’t afraid to show it. So a no nonsense garter stitch shawl with a lace and cable edging seemed appropriate.

The lace features a triangular motif to represent the shape of the insignia badges worn by Zoe in the Unifiation War. Also, because Zoe needs a practical shawl, an i-cord loop is worked so you can hook the end of your shawl through it to stay in place.

An optional ‘Leaf on the Wind’can be added so Zoe has a reminder of Wash with her at all times.
