This crochet pattern is for a beautiful versatile crochet beanie. There are options to do double stranded worsted weight or single strand bulky weight, as well as options for a messy bun beanie or a pom pom beanie! The Zonta Beanie pattern is great for an advanced beginner.
• 120 yards in 2 colors (240 total) of Caron Simply Soft or similar worsted weight #4
Note: I used CSS Tweeds double stranded in Off White and Taupe and Furls double stranded in Surf and Mist
• J/10 (6mm) hook
• Pom pom and pom pom button (optional)
• Elastic hair tie (optional for bun beanie option)
• tapestry needle
• scissors
• tape measure or ruler
Notes: 1) This pattern is written in US terms, 2) The beanie is worked in rows and unturned rounds, 3) Mark the 1st st of each round with a stitch marker, 4) Join each round with a sl st to the beginning ch, 5) The ch at the beginning of each round does not count toward st count 6) The dc starting on round 3 of the body goes over the ch 1 sp and into the st that was sk’d from the previous round

Finished measurements: 9” wide x 8” tall; fits a 22” head circumference perfectly.
