Notes
With the purchase of the “2026: A Year of Butterflies” eBook, you will have access to all currently published squares (currently none because the first square will be published Jan 2026) and will receive monthly updates for the rest of the year.
Each monthly design is written up for two techniques: interlocking and mosaic crochet. Plus you’ll receive charts.
At the end of the year, you will also get two bonus files: the all-in-one blanket pattern for each technique! The blanket pattern lets you crochet the full year without needing to join squares at the end.
⭐ Savings: The “2026: A Year of Butterflies” eBook is a 40% savings versus purchasing each monthly square individually; plus the all-in-one pattern will not be available elsewhere.

⭐ Techniques: Each month’s design can be made using interlocking crochet or overlay mosaic crochet. You can read more about each of these techniques at https://ashleeslint.com/tutorials/interlocking-and-mosaic-crochet/ or you can find all my tutorials at https://ashleeslint.com/tutorials.
These large squares can be joined together to create a blanket or used individually for pillows or wall hangings, etc. You can use whichever joining method you prefer; I have a tutorial that shows a few options at https://youtu.be/UXoh8ungXRs.
⭐ Quick Definitions: The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) interlocking crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh; two colors are worked alternately which creates the pattern.
Mosaic crochet uses single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design.
