The three books “Bäuerliches Stricken” (folk knitting) from Lisl Fanderl provide a wealth of historic patterns from the alpine areas of Austria and Germany.

Book 1 and 3 give, besides hundreds of small patterns, general hints how to combine them to make individual socks or vests.
Book 2 additionally offers full patterns (graphs) of about ten historic stockings.
