I’ve been on a mitten journey, exploring new ways to create thumbs!

This ebook features 3 novel approaches - two totally top down including the thumb and one bottom up.

1. Mittens with a top-down thumb is my original top-down thumb pattern. It has a wide range of sizes and features the simplest shaping method imaginable, with decreases done in a just a few spaced rounds.
2. Mittens with a jointed thumb are a beautiful variation on a traditional bottom-up thumb, with increases that have a minimal visual impact on the body of the mitten and create a lovely jointed shape to the thumb that mirrors the natural shape of the thumb.
3. Thenar thumb mittens This is another top-down version, but with a thumb that follows the joint of your thumb to its base for great ease of movement
